where Rising threw 30+ passes. And one of those losses was SDSU, where Utah outscored SDSU 21-9 after Rising entered the game. So in games where Rising threw 30+ passes, Utah outscored its opponents in 3/4 games while Rising was the QB. In games where Hall threw over 30 passes, BYU outscored its opponents in 3/5 of those games while Hall was the QB. Sounds like Hall is more of the game manager, right? Or do you attribute Brewer digging a 24-10 hole to Rising throwing 30+ passes? The reality of the SDSU game is that Rising came in with a big deficit and almost brought Utah all the way back. That's pretty much the opposite of a game manager.
The bottom line is that your 30+ passes metric is pretty much meaningless given Hall was 3-2 and Rising was either 2-2 or 3-1 depending on whether you attribute Brewer's ineptitude to Rising for some stupid reason.
