Wife said radiologist found a "spot" on her left breast in a mammogram today.
They said it could only be a cyst. Their recommendation was to come back in six months and have it looked at via another mammogram. My wife (54 yrs old) doesn't seem too concerned.

Me? I'm thinking, why not excise a snip of it now and see what it is? I have zero experience/knowledge with cancers but one thing I do know is, identifying it earlier is always better than later.

Any thoughts from knowledgeable people?
