It wasn't really cancer or such slow developing cancer that it wouldn't have been as high of a risk. My sister has a double mastectomy just because she has a higher chance due to genetics. She's safe from cancer but now doesn't have breasts. Different choices for different people but not necessarily better outcomes all the time
