There are pathways or algorithms if you will for each classification of the
spot that is seen. Assuming the radiologist knows what they are seeing (I have no reason to suspect they don't) that lesion is in the category of most likely being a big fat nothing. But to be safe they recommend 6 months to take another look at it rather than standard follow up.
