thank you for your post. An MRI as the next step makes sense. Had no idea they inject gold into a woman's breast when they do the the biopsy.

A biopsy can spread malignancy. It's a miserable procedure. CA is fast growing

If she has dense breasts, they will have trouble seeing anything on a mammogram. An ultrasound would be the next step
