You make it sound like they persued the PAC...
When in reality the PAC persued them heavily...they may have listened/talked...the PAC preemptively took Colorado in hopes of making it happen and so they wouldn't have to take a religious school in Baylor. They turned it down...not sure how much they really even considered the way over playing of the hand by the PAC...and then the PAC had to settle for lowly Utah...
