The B1G and SEC have already permanently separated. It’s them and everyone else.
PAC schools will have to consider whether they can afford to give up $500 million over the next decade. There is value in having a western markets and presence. But you don’t need all of the PAC to carry it. The big fish are going to be baited, and unless they institutionally unalign themselves from college athletics they will likely make the move.
