I have some whole life because my father in law was a life insurance agent and
it was worth it to me to keep the peace as I know he really believed in it. With that said, financially speaking, keep your investments separate from your life insurance. Get term insurance and use it while you are young. Use all your investment income in other vehicles.
There are some other instances when it can make sense for certain conservative investment strategies, but if you are young and a long runway, it isn’t where I would put my money.
