You're a great example of my point. Instead of jumping into an investment or a life insurance policy (Hint) uneducated, I'm simply suggesting people educate themselves. Take responsibility for your own money. "Trusting anyone to make a decision for you is irresponsible. It allows you to transfer the blame and cry "I got screwed".
I see a bad investment as a great education. I didn't lose money, I just paid for the knowledge. That knowledge might be expensive ($15,000), but it's the difference between taking responsibility of being a victim.
Lastly, any comparison between a WL policy and an investment tool is foolish. They aren't intended for the same thing. Anyone trying to compare the two is missing key information. Is a bus better than a motorcycle? Could truthful arguments be made for each one being better than the other? Of course. There are different needs and situations. To blanketed claim a bus is better or a motorcycle is better is simply ignorant. The same is true worth WL insurance and investment tools.
