There is some truth to it though. I agree it is used to just justify anything a

given person wants to do, but it does help me understand other people. It help me to realize that how truth is perceived by us in all of our natural man foibles can be dramatically different.

So while truth may be eternal, we are imperfect and so is our ability to take in and understand truth. We all view it and understand it differently.
