I haven’t spent time doing analysis like you have about Utah’s and BYU’s schedules but off the top of my head the Cougars have lost to teams like Liberty, UAB, and ECU as well as losing to MWC teams. Your almost-undefeated season was during Covid and didn’t play a single P5.

But I like to look at the positives and the bottom lines like how Utah has two P5 titles in football now and is showing improvements in recruiting each season. I’m also pumped Runnin Utes basketball is turning around. So I think as recruiting improves Utah will turn it around with OCC and bowls.

I think BYU is headed in a much better direction too with improvements in the coaching staff. You will need it in the Big 12 for sure as you’ll be playing better competition each week than Liberty or Boise State. Kalani was smart to crank things up.
