krindorr Intervention Needed
Because they can't go to the B1G now

At the moment, what options do Oregon and Washington have?

  1. Sign a short-term GOR with the PAC and get ~$28M-$35M/yr (or thereabouts, maybe more, maybe less, but close enough)
  2. Ditch the PAC and join the Big 12 and get $31M/yr... but have to sign a GOR
  3. DON'T sign any GOR and stay in the PAC....but doing so reduces the TV payout to $25M or less
  4. Go independent and sign your own TV deal... meaning you have to build schedules from scratch (with everyone knowing you're going to a different conference soon so won't be good for it) and probably won't get a huge TV deal (ND currently gets $22M)

Clearly the best option is ... join the B1G.  Except that isn't an option.  I get why Washington and Oregon wouldn't WANT to sign a GOR.  But I don't see what the better option is.
