I think many have predicted this since USC and UCLA bailed for the B1G. I can't see UO or UW ever signing a GOT unless the amounts are much higher, because they are the most likely to be poached later by the B1G. If the money was a lot higher, maybe they could be persuaded, but at $7 million/year less than the B12, no way they sign that. I bet the overall projected pay-out is even lower than that compared to the B12, because the B12 will more NCAA basketball tourney dollars to pay out to member schools.
The AZ and ASU hold-out is much more interesting. If rumors are true, they have a standing offer to join the B12. The B12 already has their media deal in place, with GORs signed, so it's much more stable than the P12. If the $25 mil number is true, I bet the total payout from the P12 is about $10 mil less annually than the B12 (with bball tourney and other sources being lower). With the extra $10 mil annually and new-found conference stability, the B12 must be looking much more attractive right now for AZ and ASU.
