Probably. There are zero MWC candidates that are even near ready for a call up
to a P5 league. The Big 12 got the best of the remaining schools on the board. The PAC 12 literally has no slam dunk options.
I suppose SDSU is the closest but even that’s a stretch. Their football team (the main revenue driver) has never been anything consistently successful. BYU was by far the best remaining in the western US, but the PAC 12 thumbed their noses at us for decades.
Now they are left without a single good option for expansion.
