When I was at my large law firm, the partners commissioned an internal study to determine if graduates from the top
law schools performed better than those that didn't. The third party's measurement criteria was a bit wishy washy, but the general consensus was that for years 1-4, graduates of the top law schools performed better. But from years 5 onwards, there wasn't much difference.
