No, the math formulas are different

Also, at the schools with more renowned professors, research and getting grants is emphasized so much that teaching is often an afterthought. I saw this when I went to a top 10 B1G grad school. The professors might have been smarter, but they didn't care about undergrads or teaching. Professors were also allowed to use their grant money to "buy" their way out of teaching undergraduate courses.
