If you think it's just a BYU thing, you haven't looked around
Also, pretending it doesn't happen at BYU just because it happens elsewhere is silly.
As I wrote above or below or somewhere here in the last 45 minutes or so, I notice a trend of people blaming failures on external forces that are outside of their control.

I watched Jalen Hurts fumble away a Super Bowl win and read numerous complaints that the Eagles lost because of officiating... yeah, right. Hurts fumbled away the ball on his own.
