So now you can't argue BYU is stronger than Washington St. And with that we've gotten ourselves into a position where you can't argue any team in the PAC is weaker than BYU and therefore none of them are dead weight.

Which by the way is not the case. Colorado and Arizona and Oregon St and Cal absolutely are.

There's multiple tiers of PAC teams when it comes to viewership

Tier 1: Oregon and USC
Tier 2: Washington and UCLA
Tier 3: Stanford, Utah, Wazzu
Tier 4: Arizona St and Colorado
Tier 5: Arizona and Cal
Tier 6: Oregon St

Right now BYU is probably at Tier 4 (or slightly below), though I'd expect conference affiliation to bump us up to Tier 3
