Hard to see how a school who’s last 3 bowl wins are Auburn, Utah, and Kentucky is dead weight. Or a school that has won its last 4 bowls games over Auburn, West Virginia, Syracuse, and Ga Tech. Or the school that is one of the candidates for QBU along with BYU.

I get it, Minnesota, Northwestern, Purdue, and Indiana aren't elite football schools like Michigan, Ohio State, or Penn State, but they aren't clearly outclassed by the likes of Nebraska, Michigan State, Iowa, or Wisconsin either.
