we didn’t return Rudi or Waterman this past season. They both were new to BYU.
…and both had a hard time adjusting to playing in a new system. BYU was ranked in the 280’s out of 350 or so D-1 teams in experience.
If we were a team like Duke where we get a fresh crop of 5-6 top 50 blue chip recruits every year we could win despite the lack of experience. Most of BYU issues this past season can be chalked up to that lack of experience and to not having at least one guy they could consistently rely on as their alpha or go-to guy.
