Personally, I think in the NT when it talked about people being possessed it was

probably mental illness, bipolar, schizophrenia, etc. They had no way to describe such ailments. Christ healed those people all the time.

I don’t think we have the power/strength that he had because of our imperfect faith. I also think it was easier for those being healed to believe in Christ than in a minister, bishop etc. I believe Christ can heal me. My neighbor? Uhh 😂
