BYU has its constraints, but that is a pretty questionable ratio. Some of the other things you can explain away, but if nobody else wants the players you are recruiting, it makes you question how effective the recruiting is. It is early and Hill is still a TBD hire. We won't have a handle on his effectiveness at the very least until we start playing games this year and more likely after a couple years of recruiting.

Indications are that he will be an improvement, but we will see. That will be the measuring stick for Tuiaki. If Hill delivers a middle of the road defense most years and a very poor one every few years and a good one every once in a while, than it will be the same we have seen from Tuiaki.

I for one am interested in seeing how we do. Hill will have to compete against a tougher schedule, but will have the advantage recruiting as a B12 coach, which Tuiaki did not have the luxory of doing for much of his stint at BYU.
