Making about Marcus and CougConnect. Some on here get bent out of shape about people coming on here talking about CougConnect. As far as I can tell from the people posting about CougConnect and Marcus on here they have no context and aren’t subscribers

So if your bothered about people posting about CougConnect why are you all on here posting about CougConnect. I’ve had three screenshots sent to me of people posting about CougConnect on the home page of CougarBoard. I have no problem with that. But why are you creating the CougConnect posts you claim are spam and advertising that you say you hate🤷‍♂️

I know el jefe. He is a good dude and has been awesome about supporting players and the program in NIL. He has been good enough to let us post stuff on here and we even track traffic from here. It’s a good metric for us and el jefe to have.

But if you don’t really know what is going on with Marcus or what CougConnect is doing, and hate the spam posts about us why make more?

Marcus has chatted with our subscribers all season. He and I have been to dinner and lunch a few times as well. I have met his mom and his brother Max. The subscribers have a lot of context on the situation. His Dad died and then right after his grandmother died. His mom is more conversant in Spanish than English and doesn’t drive much. I don’t think it is right to take shots at them knowing all this.

I talked to Marcus in the morning yesterday and he was going to be playing at BYU. His mom asked him to come be closer considering her life being turned upside down. If that is punchline material for you… well maybe consider that.

You guys like to take shots at our Tesla deal (which isn’t a lease by the way. It’s paid in full by NIL deals, the other school does leases) but that deal has got people here and kept people here. Transportation is a pretty big deal to kids. And there is financial education that goes a long with getting your Tesla paid for too.

You like to criticize our advertising. But we don’t spend money on ads. Just on supporting players.

You like to criticize our insider info. But if you were a subscriber you’d know it is pretty consistent, accurate and gives more details and insight than your average fan can get.

We have helped CBers whose families are struggling with terminal illness. We have helped players families have a Christmas who wouldn’t have had one otherwise. We have bought players groceries in summer months with stipends are cut. Replaced car tires. Paid players so they can send money home to their families for food. We have helped players with a many number of issues. Those who get involved and subscribe typically stick around. Because they know the good we do for players and even fans at times.

Get to know what we really do and how we really help. If you knew you’d probably be slower to crack jokes about us.

So I get it you’re trying to be funny. But try and consider the situation of the player (Marcus) and what CougConnect has done for players before posting negatively about us, or Marcus for that matter. Any advertising is good advertising I guess. So maybe I should just appreciate the jokes and comments more.
