oh you thought I was defending NIL as a really cool system in theory. Yeah I
guess I explained myself poorly.
My argument is that its the status quo that mirrors other business aspects of our current society.
For fans who care enough to want their team to be competitive, then its a reasonable price to pay.
If we're talking about generating a new system from scratch, I follow you folks that there would be plenty of other better ways to do it.
In the meantime, fans who have money to spend and do spend on BYU sports ought to divert some portion of that to NIL for the sake of competitiveness.
