Which I think may be a lot of what you're seeing as attacks.

So let me lay out my thoughts here

I absolutely get why Adams might transfer and honestly have no issue with it. His life has been upended in a lot of ways.

I also think CougConnect does a lot of good in giving money to players, which nowadays is a requisite for success.  Sometimes I get the feeling it's relatively small dollars compared to big donors, but it helps, so I'm glad for it.

I'm skeptical about true inside info, just because if it's truly inside info they don't want out, they still won't share. And if it's stuff they don't mind out, it generally gets out anyway. It also feels like CougConnect 'truthers' may at times oversell both this insider status and the value provided to players (the whole Tesla thing, with players talking about the importance of CougConnect getting them good financing rates, but CougConnect selling it as getting them Teslas)

Honestly, I think the bigger value I see (from a distance) in subscribing to CougConnect is the actual connection and discussion with players. Knowing how their practice went, if they like blueberries in their pancakes, funny stories about a trip with a buddy on the team. Which I guess is technically 'inside info', but more on a personal level than on a program/prep level. And I kind of feel like CC should lean into selling the connection with and the benefit to the players, instead of constantly pushing the "there's insider things we know that you NEED to know...but you won't unless you sign up"

On that note....Yes, the repeated advertising masquerading as posts here is somewhat annoying...but I get it, this is the market and place to try to get new subscribers.

So I wouldn't say I'm particularly pro-CougConnect. But I'm certainly not against it either. But when I say things like "If only I had a CougConnect membership, then I could have known Marcus Adams wasn't transferring" that's absolutely not me taking a shot at Adams or CougConnect. That's me making a comment in jest about how fast life moves. CougConnect ended up quickly being completely wrong on this one, because things change. Sometimes you just have to laugh about it
