Outside utah virtually every sport plays on Sundays. It has really had an
impact on my kids because my wife refuses to let them play on Sunday. I would let them play. They would miss Church sometimes because of it but so be it. Otherwise they are pretty much out of sports by 13 or so because they just can't keep up skill wise, and the coaches are never happy about them not playing on Sundays with the rest of the team.
Playing organized sports is important. It's important for heath, its important for confidence and its important to be part of a team and to work hard. I prefer my kids play sports over scout participating for example.

Really? So how is BYU any different from every other D1 program. You get offered if your good, BYU doesn't control that.
