The aspect of BYU and Sunday play that is fascinating to me
Is that, individually, very, very few LDS players have a "never on Sunday" stance. I think we're talking about far less than 1% actually feel that way.

Famously, Eli Herring holds the stance individually, and I'm sure there have been others. By and large, however, for LDS players who can play at the highest levels, Sunday play does not stop them. It's probably true that some don't like playing on Sunday.....but that doesn't stop them from doing it.

I just am continually fascinated that the institutional stance is held by so few of the individual members.
