I'm sorry, but I think we've moved passed the point of being grateful to those noble people who bring us college football every year. I understand that some programs operate in the red. This is why the current system, as is, will die. It can't sustain itself. Once the courts rule on the O'Bannon case and others, a new system will have to be implemented. The new system may be a clean break from university affiliation altogether. If that means having a fair and ethical sport, then I'm all for it. It will suck to see BYU football die, but I'll sleep better at night knowing that a few dozen people are making millions by scamming off of the hard work of kids who aren't properly compensated.
