I'm sorry Hessrp, apparently you were seriously hurt (maybe your child) by

someone in college athletics.
Why would you, for 20 years, continue to follow something that you have no interest in?
Why do you hate something that many millions of people love to do, that is play/watch competitive sports?
College athletes get food, a place to stay, recognition/attention, an education, proper equipment, competition, travel expenses paid, lifelong friends/memories, and probably more that I can't think of. Others can add more....

and replace it with the USFL, XFL, CFL, Arena football, or something of that nature?

You want to end it all because coaches and bowl administrators get paid to much?
