who was not a star, but a walk-on. Jay Omer is loved/feared/respected by 97% of players. Those who are disgruntled and looking for something to complain about may fall into the "complaining 3%" as well as those who just hate working hard in the weight room.
Omer uses tried and true workout programs with a Rocky IV mentality. He is a key reason we've been able to compete with B+ athletes under Bronco over the last 10 years. We're finally getting some better athletes, so squeezing every last drop of talent out of most of our team won't make or break us like it used to. Bottom-line, I will go toe to toe with anyone who wants to criticize Omer. If you're not a former player.....honestly.....what are you even basing your opinions on? If you are a former player, I'd be curious to hear your name.
One more thing, Dave Stroshine has received praise about his ability to get players ready for the draft. I know the Stroshine family, he is a great guy. He is very good at what he does. Because the NFL is so obsessed with the 40, Stroshine has done a great job helping players peak at the right time. With that said, Omer's work is the foundation that Stroshine builds on to get these guys to peak right before the draft. Being prepared for the draft and getting a solid foundation for the grind of the season are two very separate things.
