Stroshine is the name that pops up most often about replacing Omer
He has a good reputation for getting athletes ready for pro day and the combine. It does concern me that Stroshine gets the kind of results that I wish those players had while at BYU. It isn't just based on free time. The players have enough time in the summers to get bigger, stronger, and faster. Stroshine's techniques and training plans appear to be tailored and superior to Omer's. Omer's training appears to be out-of-date compared to other programs including Stroshine's.

I also think Omer has been hindered by the lack of real nutritionist for many years. BYU basically ignored that element for decades.

BYU's linemen have looked atrocious and were either way overweight or underweight. While that can't all be blamed on Omer, he may be a contributing factor. Also, BYU has had more shoulder surgeries than any team per capita. You also have to wonder about the root cause of that.
