That may all be true
but there were conversations back then about the quad/hamstring workouts that Omer was having the players do. At least in track, we needed a full 48 hours to recover from the interval/sprint workouts. The muscles need time to rebuild and running hard 2 days in a row makes you more susceptible to injury and often makes you weaker by breaking down the muscles even further. The track coaches have a strong handle on this training theory.
