I was planning to type up a rebuttal this morning, but it looks like wisconsin
cougs has typed up pretty much what I would have wanted to say, only better. I will concede that Rose has not done as good of a job identifying big man talent as I would have liked to see during his tenure. I think he could have done much better in that regard. But the picture you are trying to paint is essentially padding the stats to make your point, which is dumb. Especially when you count Stephen Rogers. Once again, he was at best a SF in our system, and never came close to resembling a post player. The fact that you tried to count him and not Keena Young is just laughable.

Your premise is not wrong, it's the way you try to present your facts. Rogers' measurables have absolutely nothing to do with whether or not he was a "big man." He was pretty much a guard. When you include him as a big man it makes me wonder if you really watched these guys or if you just looked on paper and made conclusions.

Also, in regard to injuries, I don't get what you're trying to say. Are you saying Rose should have had a crystal ball and not recruited guys because a still small voice told him they would flame out due to injury? If you think a guy is going to recover, you keep him on the roster. Because if he can eventually be a difference maker on your team it's worth a shot. Rogers and Collinsworth didn't work out. I'm not sure what Rose could have done differently with those two guys. (Although, once again, it's silly to even include Rogers in the discussion.)
