But I know on college football saturday, I can turn to ESPN family of networks, Fox Sports 1, and CBS Sports and catch a game all day. I might not even know before hand who is playing, but I know a game will be on. I don't think of checking other channels like that.
It's like how BYUtv likes to make a big deal about being nationally and internationally in 50 million homes. But 99% of them don't even know they have that channel, or to look at that channel on a Saturday afternoon for a BYU Football game against Wagner.
Being on ESPN means the casual people can find the games very easily. The bars/restaurants. The die hard college football fans. Recruits/potential recruits.
OP had an innovated idea, but I don't think it is worth it personally
