I guess I don't see why BYU would outsource this
The more I think about it, I don't think it's too early, I don't think it would ever happen. BYU has everything it needs to produce, market and distribute its own content over virtually any format, from OTA, to satellite or streaming. I don't think an exclusive with a single streaming partner would ever be to BYU's benefit.

Based on everything I've heard from the AD and from BYUtv, if the ESPN deal were to go away (something nobody wants or anticipates on either side), BYU would either seek out another major network provider like CBS, NBC or Turner, or would produce, market and distribute the content on its own. This would mean that the various streaming services might show games via an app or arrangement, but BYU likely wouldn't sell its content to a single provider of that type. It would limit far too many more lucrative and varied options.
