However, I know there ARE other coaches who do not have the same priorities. I was talking to the spouse of a U Penn rowing coach a few days ago ( I know, entirely different level of sport, money etc). She asked him how he prepared his rowers for life outside of sports. He just laughed and said Penn wasn't paying him to develop young men, just athletes.
