Croaches are the scapegoat for the real problem. Independence sucks, it always has it always will. Asked past players once they know there is nothing to play for they drop a level. BYU gets a lot of national attention then the lose and it's over. I don't think independence has helped recruiting at all, just my opinion. All BYU problems occur after the first lost. what's there to play for now? Better bowl nope, conference title nope, prevent someone else from winning conference title nope. I hear fans say play for pride. We are know if a coach says play for pride it means you suck. How do you coach and inspire a team when there is nothing to play for? I hear fire bronco Fire anae, really? Doesn't matter who the coach is independence has set up any coach to fail, no coach can accomplish anything coaching an independent BYU. BYU has put the football program in a no win situation by being independant. people say it's better then the mountain west. To be honest I can't answer that question. MT west working out pretty good for BoIse ST. BYU beat Boise and they have a better shot at a NY6 then we do.

So there is my yearly I hate indeendence post. Typed this with my thumbs on an iPad, sorry for mistypes or bad wording. My next independence sucks post will be next September when the same thing that has happened ever year happens again.
