The same thing Notre Dame has to play for.
The same thing dozens of indys played for throughout the 80's, before TV deals made the great indy teams join conferences.
Pride. A desire to win. The chance to prove you're better than the other team. The love of football.
There's lots to play for and teams that are out of their conference races show that every single Saturday through late October and November.
This is a lame complaint.
