I whole heartedly agree. College is for most people a time to earn an education and for many people that is a time that they are supported by their parents. I funded my educations without support from my parents by working multiple jobs. I was inelligible for FASFA for most of my time at BYU. Didn't bother me one bit. Agree with other posters that point out that the church directs you to get money from family before government. Self sufficiency first. Rely on family second. Pretty simple concept.
