A lot of BYU grads are coming forth now with unreported sexual assaults -- crimes that weren't reported at the time due to fear of getting kicked out of BYU. Sexual assailants will do anything to keep their victims quiet... reminding them that they would be investigated if reporting it, is apparently common.
BYU's no-alcohol policy surely keeps these crimes lower than they would be, but the Honor Code's current policy INCREASES the overall risk to students. Hence the current issue...
