Hey Utah, you suck. Nobody really wanted you, you're lucky because you're public and because of your geography.

Clearly you don't understand the process. What BYU fans are learning now with the Big 12, is you have to get 10 elite thinking and exclusive presidents and universities to support you. That's very, very difficult.

There's no way that happens if Utah isn't playing as one of the elite non-AQs.

Remember, when we all left the WAC to form the MWC, the goal was to prove on the field that we belonged.

Out of that group, between the two major sports, there are only 3 top 5 finishes total. All Utah.

No one else showed up to the fight. Utah also had the most wins vs BCS teams, most sweet 16s, the two #1 picks, most NBA/NFL draftees by a landslide and the best post season record in all of CFB.

Compared to our peer group, during the most visible and most critical era Utah stood out. Sure, Utah was very, very lucky. But no one else was really carrying the flag -- or demonstrating they were ready to play in the big leagues as well as Utah.

So why not the Utes?

The P12 was prudent knowing that by picking off Utah, they'd also deflate the MWC and eliminate the only threat in the west.

Trust me, the P12 loves Utah's 14-1 OOC record. It bolsters the whole conference. Just as we did in the MW.
