This will affect my niece next She is 12 lives in Maryland
and 6 foot +. She started in Volleyball but now plays club Softball, Volleyball and basketball (started this year in Bball. The YW asked her to play on their bball team when she was 11 and that was her first experience playing. She ended up being the 2nd leader scorer on the team to a senior laurel and they won their ward won its first Stake Tournament ever. Apparently the good sports ward in the Stake tried to protest because she was only 11 but that got a little ridiculous.
Right now because she is the biggest and best player on all club teams Coaches are willing to let her take a break on Sundays and miss practice do to other sport timing conflicts but I don't think it is going last much longer. 12 was pretty much the cutoff for my kids when Sunday play gets in the way. And winning gets in the way of player development

Really? So how is BYU any different from every other D1 program. You get offered if your good, BYU doesn't control that.
