I would actually be encouraged that the investigation would be done by title IX investigators, rather than dumped into the HCO process.
I would hope that with the severity of the cases, title IX would work more like criminal investigation with more due process for the accused than what the HCO works with, which is essentially, an anonymous accusation where the accused has almost no due process before action is taken, I almost got kicked out of school without even knowing the identity of who I allegedly assaulted.
