Goes back to the out of pocket problem. A father of 4 goes out to eat and
is responsible for feeding 6 people.
A father of 1 goes out to eat and is responsible for feeding 3 people.
Much easier to justify a 20% tip on $50 than a 20% tip on $100. And did the waiter really do twice the work?
I totally understand why it happens. I usually just leave the kids at home and bring them leftovers or cook a frozen pizza. But in the end the waiter at the restaurant actually got less money from me than if I had brought the kids.
Saturday I tipped $50 to the waitress at Top Golf because she went above and beyond for my family. That was a 42% tip.
I have experienced many waiters that give horrible service the minute you order water. They get a horrible tip from me.

With a $50k donation you can get 50 yard line seats in LES. I can't imagine a donation of this size would get you

I could be wrong but I'd guess that the seats in section 34 weren't available by the time it was a $10k donor's turn
