Roster construction - no small ball

Rosey, you know I totally trust your basketball knowledge. I don't doubt that a small lineup looks good at BYU. But, there are 6 scholarships post players on this team. If you decide to play small ball, then you have a roster of 8 guys.

So my point is that your roster construction needs to follow your style of play. The fact that BYU has Worthington, Andrus, Dastrup, Shaw and Nixon on the roster tells me that they want to play 2 bigs. How do you use 6 scholarships on post players if you want to play small ball?

So, they may break out that lineup occassionally, but, if you try it too much, that will put major strain on the team and make almost have the roster useless.

Fans seem to hate turnover and moving guys along. But, if the philosophy is to truly play small ball and shoot a ton of 3s, then replace Worthington, Shaw and maybe Nixon with some true wing players. Why have those guys come back? Yes you always need some size, but if the plan is small, then Dastrup, Andrus and Childs would have been enough.
