Fantastic points.
I'm a big, big, big believer in do-it-all wings. If Rose trots out small ball for large portions of games it is basically him admitting he blew it with big man recruiting depth. If we are being honest here without naming names there are guys on this team that just flat out don't get offered by coaches that have great programs.
Lucky for those players they will get a chance to prove themselves with a big opportunity in front of them.
One of Rose's biggest weaknesses has been filling out recruiting classes. People complain about lone peak kids but the problem has never been the top 1-2 players in a class.... The problem is the 3rd 4th and 5th kid in a class.
Look at the scholarships wasted in the Tyler haws and Kyle Collinsworth years. There was ZERO effort put in to JC players to plug holes and upgrade the bench or starting lineup.
