That sums up what makes up different from being a G5? Man... with all those resources, you'd think we could hire better, pay our coaches more and actually resemble something that doesn't look like a G5 program.
You can take BYU out of a G5 conference, but you can't take the G5 out of BYU. Until our admin starts acting above a G5 program and putting the money we do make towards the program, we are a G5 program. When G5 programs with less money operate their program better than we do with more money... that's a problem. When they perform on the field better, that's a problem.
BYU should be way above a G5 program with their resources they have, but they aren't. More money or SOS doesn't make a program a non-G5... it's the way you operate. Holmoe and admin around him do a good job of just talking a good talk, but when it comes to putting words to action, they fail miserably at it.
We may not belong to a G5 conference, but we certainly are a G5 program regardless of who we play and what money we make. The ONLY thing P5 about our program is the fan base... that's it.
