My point is that he was a freshman completely new to the college level
and I think it's much harder for a player to step in and play and do well at the QB position as a 100% healthy freshman than it is for a 5th year Senior coming off a season ending injury.
It's not hard to see that. His knowledge of the game and ability to read defenses counts for way more than even physical ability or having participated in spring the year immediately before...
