It's not just accuracy though, that's what you don't seem to understand.
Pro style allows the D to match up their best DB's with your WR's. Our WR's have to simply out muscle and/or outrun the DB's.

There's not much room for developing mismatches in the passing game.

The term "spread" refers to the fact that we are spreading the D, they have to cover more receivers and ground and leaves more room for mismatches and open receivers.

That is why it benefits so many college teams and why so many run it. There's not a lot of parity in college football and teams need every advantage they can get in the passing game.

It's easier to spread the D out than it is to muscle them out of the way with athleticism. BYU will never have that kind of talent, like the Wisconsin team we just faced.
