I don't pretend to know what the BOT thinks, but the pitch seems solid
Tom: BOT I need $1M-$2M extra a year for coaches
BOT: Tom, we don't care about football
Tom: Yes, but a lot of people do. They will stop caring if we don't get some better coaches in here.
BOT: That is OK with us
Tom: If football goes away we shut down all sports. But we have operated in the black to the tone of a surplus of $3M-$5M per year. The church does not need to care, we just use the money that is generated from the football program for the football program. In the end, if you don't support the coaches we will lose more money and sports teams if we don't allocate this money.
BOT: So pay an additional $1M-$2M and keep $1M-$4M? or don't do anything and lose the $1M-$4M per year surplus. Tom, you have 4 years to make this right.
